Its founder Dr Milorad Pavlovic was searching for an answer on how to help children without adequate parental care to give them a happy childhood. He embraced the ideas of Hermann Majer about the concept of children villages and the life in a family that fosters the relationships of trust, cooperation, closeness and unconditional acceptance.

The most beautiful part of the old park Sremska Kamenica, leaning on the bank of the Danube river was the chosen as the area where the village was built. Some of the greatest Serbian humanitarians come from Sremska Kamenica i.e. Zmaj Jova Jovanovic, the greatest poet for children.
