This Sunday we had Scitech science show with workshop organized for children that attend the Serbian school at the church hall.
Scitech is a not-for-profit organisation whose mission is to increase awareness, interest, capability and participation by all Western Australians in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Activities of Scitech are very much aligned with Tesla Forum of WA Inc. and these two organizations have successfully worked together in the past.
SciTech presented the Bubbles science show – a 30 minute presentations that combine a lively mix of explanation, interaction and demonstrations to showcase the scientific process and the relevance of science. Children discovered the power of bubbles from the tiny to the giant and explored their scientific properties. What can bubbles be made of? What happens when they’re set on fire?
Follow-on workshops further reinforced the messages in the shows via children-driven hands-on challenges and experiments.
It was amazing to see how quickly each single child got involved in the show and how much they have to contribute! Overwhelming interest and enthusiasm shown by each one of 29 participants simply demonstrates how much talent is among them and how much attention they deserve. Their parents certainly had very good reason to be proud of them.
